I'm so excited to kick off my new romantic suspense series! This is a new genre for me, but as I'm writing the story, I get the privilege of marrying my two favorite genres - romance and mystery/thrillers. The Plan B series will follow the lives and loves of a group of agents working for a secret government organization, Plan B, charged with protecting the United States from its enemies, foreign and domestic.
The first book is titled Until Now, and it's part one of a two-part intro to the series. You've met the hero, Cruz Cordoba before. He's big, muscular, and Cuban. He made a cameo in Do Over, when his Cordoba Agency provided security for the Brooks family. In Two Nights in Paris, he helped Stephan get information on Roselle's background. In Until Now, you'll see how this man of mystery got his start.
Below is the story synopsis and preorder links. Go ahead and get your copy so you'll have it on release day, November 20th!
Shanice Lawrence has met the perfect man. He’s sexy, considerate, and best of all, he loves to read. She’s certain she’s found the man of her dreams—until she learns the truth about the real reason for his appearance in her life.
Cruz Cordoba’s mission was simple: Get close to Shanice, retrieve the data, and kill anyone who gets in his way—including her. But he didn’t anticipate falling for the voluptuous bookstore clerk. Now he has to decide what’s more important—the mission, or the woman.

Welcome to the very first Wednesday Writing Prompt! What is Wednesday Writing Prompt? Every Wednesday in May, I and four author friends will write a short story from a writing prompt, and you can hop from blog to blog to read each one and see the different ideas that come from each prompt.
This scene takes place at Dilligan’s Sports Pub. As I sometimes do, I reuse the names of fictional places in my stories, and Dilligans’s is the bar where Diego and Ronnie from One of the Guys had their pool shooting competition. It's also where Malcolm in The Roommates works as a bartender (on my Free Reads page).
Without further ado, below is the writing prompt and my contribution, Chance Encounter.
Writing prompt: The heroine is at a bar playing a drinking game with her friends and loses, and as a result is told that she has to ask the next man who comes through the door out on a date.
